B.A. Occupational Therapy
I am an Occupational Therapist all the way from South Africa.
After I finished my studies, I worked for a government hospital within several different wards and treated a wide variety of patients. This exposure to different diagnoses gave me treatment experience in different areas of Occupational Therapy.
I gained experience with diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Early intervention for premature babies and developmental delays. I have completed the Mother Baby Friendly initiative course on breastfeeding as well as a course on the clinical analysis, treatment and management of children with cerebral palsy.
Within the adult population I have experience in the rehabilitation of adults with traumatic brain injuries, amputations, strokes, hand injuries and cognitive impairments.
I am effective with developing and implementing individual therapy as well as doing school and developmental evaluations to provide clear goals for my patients.
I enjoy what I do, and I am thrilled to join the Chatterbox team. I am excited to work with children towards reaching a goal of functional performance.
I believe all children have the potential for a bright future.
